we are a hidden identity
muted by t.v. screens
subdued by radio frequencies
our individuality
is lost in the pages of magazines
is cross-dressed and kept tight inside the seams
our mind is like the KGB
our intellect a secret police
our words appease authority
'cuz we think it's some sort of remedy
but what we really need,
the real vaccine,
is to free ourselves from this complacency
